Reviewed on 2024-02-23 by AlejandroMy stay here was short of wonderful. A lot of magic moments happened here and I'm deeply thankful for the service they gave us. Reason why I'm deducting stars is because the host wasn't very nice when trying to get help from them. It was either figure it yourself, or improper communication leading to confusion. May rent again, who knows. Overall, had a great experience! Looking forward to my next trip to Big Bear, if it's with Cool Cabins it would end up depending if they improve these few things, but apart from that, excellent service! House was clean and shiny, although a few extra things the house didn't really need, such as old casettes, lots of kitchen artifacts (not used for the everyday life) and much more.Bed sheets where clean, although some towels had stains. Entrance was good, but when snow fell, host wouldn't help, and recommended we looked somewhere else, for a fee of course. Altough one time the owners worker did come and helped us out for free, but bear in mind he has nothing to do with Cool Cabins, so if you ask them for his number, you won't get it. Anyways, if you'd like to book with them, take in consideration that if you have a problem you're pretty much on your own. Final verdict: 7/10

Reviewed on 2024-01-21 by LuisAt first we got directions on how to get here not an actual address, we had to Google to find it and once we did. We loved the little cabin. It's cozy, warm, quiet and homely. It has great appliances that are easy to use. It has a decent bed, bring your own pillows honestly. The only thing I'd say could be better was the front light as it seemed to be motion activated. Besides that 10/10 would stay here again

Brown Bear Inn is perfect for everyone. Located in a beautiful, desirable area of Big Bear close to Bear Mountain Ski Resort and just a short drive to the lake, Village, and more. Close to National Forest hiking trails. This cozy cabin has everything you need if you’re looking for a relaxing mountain getaway!
LIVING SPACE - 1 bedroom, 1 bath. Cozy 500+ sq ft home with living room, dining table, and plenty of comfortable seating. Bedroom has a queen bed. Extra blankets and pillows are available.
KITCHEN - Stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, crockpot, rice cooker, dishes, pots/pans, spices, and more.
AMENITIES - Board games and card games. Smart TV with streaming apps along with fast WiFi.
OUTDOORS - Front/side deck, outdoor seating, and gas barbecue. Walk to National Forest trails, golf course, zoo, and more.
PARKING - 1 car driveway
Other things to note:
Big Bear Lake local ordinance 99.300 limits maximum occupancy to 2 people. Children, toddlers, and infants do count as a person. Occupancy is permitted per City Ordinance - overoccupancy could result in a fine or non-refundable eviction.
