Wonderful cabin and location, but….
Reviewed on 2024-06-28 by DesireeThis is a fantastic cabin with plenty of room to sprawl out and relax. In the cold months it is nice, cozy and toasty; in the summer it manages to stay cool and comfortable. This cabin offers exceptional value for the price and we have booked it twice which we never do because it's perfect for our family of 4. The one downside is the master bed. Unfortunately, the mattress is completely blown out. There are lumps and dips and it almost seems as though there are 2 twins pushed together. It was uncomfortable the first time but this visit it seems to have gotten worse. My husband and I both struggled to sleep well with it, so we can't give it the 5 star rating it otherwise deserves.

You can find endless entertainment in this gorgeous multi-level home with beautiful forest views. Walking distance to Bear Mountain Ski Resort, Alpine Zoo, and National Forest hiking trails. Just a short drive to the lake, Village, local restaurants, shops and more! Escape city life and find relaxation with family and friends at this cozy cabin nestled in the forest.
LIVING SPACE - Spacious 1300+ sq ft home with living room, ceiling fan, dining table, bar seating, beautiful gas fireplace, and plenty of comfortable living room seating.
ROOMS & BEDS - 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath. Downstairs master bedroom has a king bed, TV, and private bath. Downstairs second bedroom has a double/twin bunk bed, twin bed, TV, and private bath. Living room has a sleeper sofa. Extra blankets and pillows are available.
KITCHEN - Full kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, rice cooker, dishes, pots/pans, spices, and more.
AMENITIES - Cable TVs, streaming apps along with fast WiFi and a Wii Game Console. Board games and card games. Relax near the cozy gas fireplace. Laundry area with stackable washer/dryer.
OUTDOORS - Patio furniture and gas barbecue. Enjoy the brisk mountain air on the spacious upper deck with gorgeous forest views.
PARKING - 2 car driveway
Other things to note:
Big Bear Lake local ordinance 99.300 limits maximum occupancy to 7 people (6 adults max). Children, toddlers, and infants do count as a person. Occupancy is permitted per City Ordinance - overoccupancy could result in a fine or non-refundable eviction.
